Joan Menna Fowler

Joan Menna Fowler spent her career in IT and Real Estate Development prior to becoming involved in pancreatic patient advocacy following her father’s PDAC diagnosis. Joan has been a Consumer Reviewer for both the peer and programmatic panels of the Department of Defense’s Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) which strives to transform health care for Service Members and the American public through innovative and impactful research.  Joan is also a member of the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) National Cancer Institutes’ (NCI) Gastrointestinal Steering Committee (GISC) Pancreatic Task Force and the NCI Patient Advocate Steering Committee (PASC). She is a member of the National Pancreas Foundation and holds a BS from Bryant University.
